IanHenry Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 It looks like there is some hope for Wilko Johnson in his battle with cancer: https://uk.news.yahoo.com/wilko-recovering-cancer-op-081434161.html#f407hEF Great to hear, whishing him all the best. Ian
'Scales Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 brilliant news. Thanks for the update. Wilko is a legend.
pippy Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 That's got to be in the 'Good News Today" thread! Who would have thought it possible? I really liked this bit from the link; "...(speaking just before the operation) There is a small chance of dying, but that's nothing, because for over a year I have been living with a 100% chance of dying." I send out my best wishes for him. Top Bloke. Thanks very much for posting this, Ian. P.
Doug the Old Geezer Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Great news for Wilko. I know his feeling, two years ago this month I received my Blood Marrow Transplant that gave me a new lease on life from my cancer. CANCER SUCKS!
Jimi Mac Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 My prayers are with him! I like his work very much and am a fan of Dr. Feelgood and anything else he takes part in! He and Lee Brilleaux (Lee John Collinson) were brilliant together! That seething/acidic harmonica attack of Brilleaux's and Wilko Jonson's (John Peter Wilkinson) chops were phenomenal! In a new-age pioneering of Punk they kept throwing down old-school blues rhythms and riffs that just worked!!!
