swampash Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 So my main Guitar at the moment is a 1994 Japanese Fender Jazzmaster. I also use a Rickenbacker 360/12 for certain songs. This Guitar is the first Guitar where I would literally sell anything or do anything to own. If Fender do decide to do it, I'll have to have one.

I have never got into double necks at all but I must admit that does look like a good one.
EVOL! Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 I am a Jazzmaster lover too and had watched the video over the weekend. Amazing guitar that I would love to have.
swampash Posted May 6, 2014 Author Posted May 6, 2014 I'm wondering if this will actually become a Guitar us mere mortals will be able to buy or if it would be exclusive to Troy Van Leeuwen.

Does yours have the Strat pickups or the original Jazzmaster pickups? I have heard that they used the Strats in Japan.
Rabs Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Very cool If you don't mind I will re-post that link so its embedded

My Jazzmaster is equipped with Lindy Fralin pickups.

quapman Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Cool guitar, but hold on to that Rick! I second that. Double necks are interesting,, but I would never "have to own" one. But that's just me. I would rather have 2 guitars.. lol. But hey, if you're gigging and it serves a purpose I get it. otherwise they are pure novelty.
swampash Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 Cool guitar, but hold on to that Rick! Oh the Rick isn't going anywhere. :)
swampash Posted May 8, 2014 Author Posted May 8, 2014 I think it's definitely the pure novelty factor although it would serve a purpose. We've got five songs in our set that require the 12 string. I'd be surprised to see this hit the market and I can imagine the cost of owning one. Considering what the Master Builder said in the video about this being his biggest challenge, I'd imagine they wouldn't want to churn out too many. If they did a limited run I'd say you'd be looking at somewhere in the region of $10,000 to $12,000.
