Went to soaring eagle casino in Michigan last night to see Vince gill. not a big country lover but my wife is .but I love good guitar players and wow was I impressed. one heck of a player. acoustic wise he played martins but he did play a les paul and a hollow body Gibson. The amazing par was during his encore. He said he wanted to introduce a friend of his that was recording a couple of his songs. Out walked Bob Seager. How fricking amazing. The place went crazy{if you live in Mi you know how much of a icon he is here]. They played about a 10 minute version of old time rock and roll. Lol think every1 was in shock. great time and even won over a 100 dollars. great night and vince is 1 hell of a guitar player. :P

And apparently, a really nice guy. This video of Vince and Patty Loveless singing "Go Rest High On That Mountain" at George Jones' funeral never fails to bring a tear to my eye. I am especially touched when Patty takes over the vocal for Vince, who simply cannot do it at that moment. Two good friends, missing another.

No phony show biz emotions there.

Thanks for sharing that video. All I can say is.... wow. True love for a true friend coming through.

I think this recent song by him and Kelly Clarkson is one of his best ever. Smooth!!!! Their voices really blend well. Great tune.

Just noticed in this video that he's playin' through a Reissue '65 Deluxe Reverb amp, great sounding all-tube amp. That was my retirement present along with an American Vintage '52 Tele!!! [flapper]
