Rabs Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 WARNING.. this is a bit harsh, and must be every parents nightmare but it was on the news so im hoping its ok to post.. The cat was actually owned by the family involved so she was protecting a family member as we all would I guess.. (and it just never ceases to amaze me just how much is videoed these days) But wow... what a brave cat.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2t197zczkJM
moparguy Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Cat went nuts on that b!tch a$$ dog, that kids injuries looked terrible, I hope they killed that dog. I saw it on facebook first and that video showed the kids injuries before and after treatment, it looked nasty
LarryUK Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I saw it yesterday. That cat deserves a fish. It certainly saved that boys leg or even his life.
kidblast Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 jeeeze... I hope some one is tracking down that dogs "owners". I love dogs, but when they behave like that, they need to be removed... permanently.
krock Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I saw this on facebook too. It's impressive how animals can develop an attachment to their owner or just random humans and can understand when they're in danger and need help. There are quite a few dolphin video's where humans are saved from shark attacks as well. Im glad the child is okay
rct Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 This morning, one of my cats, Ichabod, jumped onto the counter(where he doesn't belong), went into the sink(where he is not supposed to go), and licked cheese off a spoon(which he is not supposed to do). rct

Obviously if we're ever in peril we'll probably die cuz our cats are too busy pleasuring themselves. :(

brc Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 I also saw the video on another site, but I have watched a couple of times. I am a huge animal lover, but that dog needs to be taken care of. Animals have great sense of when their owners are in danger. I received a call from my daughter one day that there was a large snake in my back yard, where my 18 month old grand daughter was playing. I drove like a mad man getting home, to see my Siberian Husky picking the snake up and flinging it in the air. It took me about 20 min. to get home, so no telling how long my dog was dealing with the snake. The snake was still alive when I got to it, so I took a shovel and cut its head off, and then started checking out my dog for any bite marks from the snake, but some how she managed to avoid getting bit by the snake. I took her to the vet just to be sure, and she was fine. But back to the cat story, like some one said, the cat deserves a big treat, and lots of love. I wonder if it was a stray cat, or some ones pet.
pippy Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Wow! Cool Cat! We refer to our home as a Cat Bed & Breakfast... A (cat-owning) friend has a t-shirt which reads "A Dog Has Owners. A Cat Has Staff." P.
rct Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 That all happened in Bakersfield CA. I saw last night that the dog had gotten away from a close neighbor. They are going to observe the dog for some period of time, I believe ten days, and then they'll put it down. As much as I hate having animals put down, and as much as I love superhero cat, I really can't stand the idea of a little kid getting all bit up by one, it is sad all around, so it is as it should be. rct

I have no compassion for the perp be it animal or human. I could easily flip the switch on either one. When I see that video all I see is that kids leg with stitched up holes in it. He was playing in his yard. And yes,, superhero cat was awesome! He probably saved the mother too as that dog would have turned on her as she tried saving her child.

darling67 Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 This sure did make the rounds yesterday. What an amazing cat! I have no issue with a dog being put down after it attacks someone—child or adult. But it's the owners' fault, in the end. Why was that dog not on a leash, or fenced-off?
