Pick guard film

I have huts purchased a dove in flight walnut. I have seen that taylor has a plastic film for their pick guard to prevent scratches while playing.

It seems to be an electrostatic film that you can apply and remove easily before and after playing. Does gibson have anything like this.

I would like to protect pick guard, since only 30 of these guitars worldwide was made .

In all respect, I think protecting the protection-guard is the first step out the slippery slope.

Besides you gonna play that thing g-damn hard to bring the guard to a state that would affect any serious future buyer.

Let the NEW guitar be a REAL guitar - other smaller og bigger traces of use will occur anyway. . .

I think the vinyl pick guard is to be used in lieu of a hard pick guard

They make the cling type and the a slightly stiffer one with adhesive that's removable

I tried one of each on a custom koa I just got but decided to get a regular type pick guard that's clear

I like it better

If you just want to cover your pick guard buy some screen cover type material and cut them out

I've bought some of those larger screen covers in the clearance bin for out dated items that work well

I apologize in advance to the PickGuardPolice on the forum because this guard being clear makes it difficult to tell how well I aligned it to the rosetta. Take my word that it's pretty good.
