Rabs Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I really like the rootbeer one... Not too sure about the backs of the blue ones? Oh by the way, whats a 492T? mini hummer? $4899 http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/2014/Les-Paul-Supreme.aspx This with silver hardware would be perfect for me (ohh apart from the 50s neck :()
quapman Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Not sure why you feel inclined to continuously post pics, that are already there for anyone to see, that I will never have any chance of owning... It's starting to pi$$ me off ;) I'm starting to think you're on salary. Really,, I don't need to see the latest and greatest of anything! When I have the money I will go and look for myself. Until then,, please stop showing me what I can't have. Thank you. ;)
darling67 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 These are waaay nice. Not so sure about those "Ocean Water Perimeter" and "Seafoam" finishes, though. For this guitar, it's gotta be either the sunburst or the rootbeer!
Riffster Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Frankly this model does nothing for me, it has identity crisis written all over it.
'Scales Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I guess its the new world of 'mass-customisation'. You make everything available in every conceivable combination of fittings and features with heaps of colour options etc, then make a handful for shows or whatever but mainly just advertise on line and then put together the relevant options and paint it once you get a firm order. Generalising but.... each to his own as always.

It's kinda cool but....
Rabs Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 Not sure why you feel inclined to continuously post pics, that are already there for anyone to see, that I will never have any chance of owning... Probably mostly out of boredom :P And come on, you know you love it.. that's why you keep coming back for more :) Lol.. don't I wish I was a Gibson employee :) Then maybe I could afford one of these new guitars..
btoth76 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Hello! That second one...is a dream! Wonderful! A bit disappointed of the absence of the MinETune at this price. ;) What are those pickups? Johnny Smith? Cheers... Bence
buliwyf Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 First look at the bright side one of only a few 2014 LP's you can buy without that God awful Min-ETune automated “robot” tuner.IMHO what an overdone piece I wouldnt waste my cash on. Also as Rabs said what is a 492 mini hummer,ok again my opinion but i just dont dig it.I had a Gibby SG Supreme some years ago and that was a darn good guitar with a real maple top obviously the second from left.
capmaster Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 You don't need 5k to get a nice 335. I jsut got 2013 form MF and it was condition 2 in Vintage Burst and looked brand new for $2100. That LP is way over the up. To much frill. F holes look wrong on a LP. Share this opinion.
surfpup Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Frankly this model... has identity crisis written all over it. Agreed. I'd add that it has ugly written all over it as well.
Rabs Posted May 20, 2014 Author Posted May 20, 2014 In looking at it again today.. one of the things I really DONT like is the headstock where they have written Supreme in massive lettering... Seems a bit OTT even for such a fancy guitar
capmaster Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I could not have said this better Riffster... but at least they are not trying to force feed us another robo tuner on it. Yep - the player buying one will manage manual tuning, and those using it as a wall art won't even care...

Seems a bit OTT even for such a fancy guitar I think that for a truly supreme item this script is just needless.

daveinspain Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Hmmm, f holes on a Les Paul…?Doesn't work for me. ES 339 yeah but on a small body single cut looks odd...
