capmaster
That's interesting, cap. I was under the (perhaps erroneous) impression that Alu t'ps were reserved for the re-issues but I don't even know why I thought this might be the case. P. There are some "modern" Custom Shop models featuring old style 1/4 and 7/16 pickup rings, nickel hardware, ABR-1 bridge, and aluminum tailpiece with 5/16 threaded posts. My transparent orange Standard, model no. HB461C, came stock this way. On the other hand, my ca. 1973 L6-S came with a metric-sized aluminum tailpiece. the dog
Well I bought the aluminum tailpiece. Not the Gibson one.. I got the one that Donny supplied the link for. I had to. For 37 years I built and customized harleys and made Pro Gas harley motors for drag racing. I sold my bike last year and I'm done with bikes.(as soon as I get rid of all the crap in my cellar) I bought my first Les Paul.I have a need to customize but I don't want to void the warranty. For $25.00 this will satisfy my need to add a personal touch. And I'll see what the future holds....
the dog
You know you can change capacitors without voiding a warranty and those Luxe Bumble Bees that Pippy likes are really a good deal and sound super creamy. The ones in the Signature T the little blue ones were kind of a bummer. The link is below. http://www.ebay.com/...=item4620a9b166 I just ordered a pair. the dog
You can leave your tone configuration the way it is just solder them in in place of others and instant cream dream. Will do..They already shipped.... Thanks for that help.... I'll pop the cover off and see what it looks like in there....
