Tarrr Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 That one's pretty iffy.... if if everyting came out cool it still might not be worth? Some are and some aren't, not a big market for old 12str's. I reset the neck/restored a 71' Guild 12er, plays good yet can't say it was worth the effort. However, the 59' LG3 I restored a year ago, that's a whole nudder topic. If it were local, maybe? if if. lol and no help
zombywoof Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 The pointy rather than rounded doodads on the headstock indicate it is a post 1964 guitar. I would not think of paying $500 for one of those with an unidentified number of potential problems.
BluesKing777 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I was playing my B2512N (12 string Gibson) and noticed this thread - I think the bridge has been changed to a 6 string style....and I doubt it would hold 12 strings! This is a Gibson bridge for you (altered to get it nicely in tune and bone saddle - removed wobbly old adjustable saddle... BluesKing777.

BluesKing777. BK, That's a trap-tail guitar. The bridge just holds the saddle, and the strings dead-end at the trapeze. Gibson went back and forth between trap-tail and pin bridges throughout the 1960's on the B-45's.
