charlie brown
It depends on where it's marketed, too. Some may be exclusive to Japan, or Europe. I remember Gibson not offering an SG with Maestro, here.... Custom Shop, or USA! However, it was available in Japan, several years ago. And, as I remember, there was a rather large outcry, from some SG loving memembers, here, about that very fact. So, we got the "Original," FINALLY! There was another incidence, where Gibson/Epiphone, had a "correctly" spec'd Epi Riviera, with the oval inlay, in the headstock (as the original Kalamazoo era Riviera's had), only available (at first) in Europe, and Canada! Then, only to very specific dealers, here! WTH? Make and Market it, to EVERYONE! Why make it, advertise it, then limit it's sales (and their profit margin), to only certain countries??? Unless, of course, it's a custom made, or very limited run. But, even then, why not give everyone the chance, at least, of selling and/or owning one. sgplayers
They use a market research for determining projected sales in certain areas I am thinking.. If this is TV yellow, the color came about because before color TV the white S-G was blinding, so Gibson came up with TV yellow which actually looks white on a black and white TV. COOL HUH. Am I the only one that didn't know that until a couple days ago?
