IanHenry Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Here's an interesting film of Warren demonstrating his Gibson ES335 Signature Model. I got to play one at Gibson's Memphis Retail showroom and it was wonderful. If I didn't already have a 335 I would be very tempted by one of those. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=thHgek4Nso8 Ian
Karloff Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Saw him with The ABB a few years back and have not had a chance to see him with The Mule yet. Great player. FZ, treat yourself and go see the Mule...
Jimi Mac Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 I've seen him a few times, both with Dickey Betts and Derek Trucks with ABB... Great stuff! I stumbled on him for the first time in the 1980's when he was with The Dickey Betts Band with the "Pattern Dispruptive" album. I loved that album and it was shortly thereafter that The ABB reunited and Dickey & Warran became the staple axemen of The ABB... This was right in the same era as The Greg Allman Band with their hit "I'm no Angel" featuring ex-ABB guitarist "Dangerous" Dan Toler... (which I saw live in that period) Both bands were enjoying some great FM radio airplay with the hits from those albums and it was a very short time later that The ABB reunited with Greg Allman & Dickey Betts back together again...
IanHenry Posted June 6, 2014 Author Posted June 6, 2014 I'd never heard of him until a guy in the pub said I should check him out, so I bought the Man in Motion album and it's great. Ian
