onewilyfool Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 Let's see what you got!!: Interesting Blues turnarounds in key "G"??
zombywoof Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Not much for tabbing stuff out but I did run across a turnaround I did for a friend. Not in G though but A but you can transpose it if you like it. I am too lazy. A moving chord line thing that I first used in Artie Traum's "Earl's Crab Shack." It is a bit different in that it has a bit of a jazzy sock rhytym guitar feel to it. I do not have a guitar near by but I think it is correct but then again I never seem to be able to play something the eact same way twice. Here Goes:
BluesKing777 Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 Rev Davis had some great G turners, but I am not sure off hand where to find the Tab. One on this - Baby, Let Me Lay It On You - Blues Guitar of Rev Gary Davis (2 DVD Set) SGGWorkshop. BluesKing777.
zombywoof Posted June 9, 2014 Posted June 9, 2014 This tabbing stuff is tough. Every time I try and slow something down to figure out what I am doing I just lose it all. But here are a couple in the Key of G I have been know to use (or something close to them) in tunes like Georgia White's "I'll Keep Sitting On It (Before I Give It Away)." Catchy title ain't it. Great song though. Unfortunately it only works with a lady singer unless you have a heck of a sense of humor. I do not think they are terribly original or interesting though. Pretty much just typical A - D - G stuff.
