AndyFraser65
Hi guys, I'm trying to figure out how many millimeters is the radius of the neck of my bass EB-03; specifications show me a SlimTaper ™ "D", which I can not interpret ... Can you expert please help me ? Thanks in advice ;-)
russinator
Those specs have nothing to do with the fingerboard radius, which is what I think you are talking about. See: http://www.michalkaszczyszyn.com/en/tutorials/radius.html You can make a gauge from cardboard. I'm guessing it's 12" though. It is for the Gibson SG Standard bass. AndyFraser65
Thank you very much russinator, i really appreciate your kind indication though i suspect that a vintage bass as EB-03 has a radius less flat compared to a 12 ", i take as an example my Toby Deluxe IV which has a much flatter fingerboard... But maybe i'm wrong...
russinator
I have a Epi EB-3 as shown in my avatar but it is a limited edition with a 1.5 inch nut so other things may be different also. It never really concerned me what the fingerboard radii were of anything I've played in the last almost 60 years. :) The cardboard thingy is easy enough to make if you really want to know.
