10K-DB Posted June 26, 2014 Share Posted June 26, 2014 I have a 1974 Harmony "Rocket"{similar to a 335} with no pickups on it,,its seen probably every beach shore in USA over the past 20+yrs. vangoghsear Posted June 26, 2014 Share Posted June 26, 2014 My main criteria for a beater is that it be inexpensive, fairly stable in reasonably out of spec environmental conditions for limited time periods (hot car during stops while traveling, etc.), and that it can be tuned easily and is able to hold tuning reasonably well.
