If you could pick one Gibson guitar

Right now it would be a Les Paul Standard in Gold Top. Why? Because today I want a gold top LP (last week it was a firebird). It has the new asymmetrical slim tapered profile, burst bucker pros with coil tapping. Not too too expensive. Would be perfect.

Would have to be one of the Collector's Choice guitars...fake aging or not, every one I've played has sounded fantastic and played like a dream.

Now, if we're counting All Gibsons...I'll take a nice '59 burst, please and thank you.

My first thought was, "A new 175."

Then... Naaah... An AE J45.

Then... Naaah... too big. And that dumps a bunch of other Gibson AEs, too.

Maybe... a J185 AE cutaway version... 16"lower bout but a bit thick on the body...

I dunno.

Over Lucille? That guitar is the business. I have a 335 and it cant touch how good the BB King sounds. I would run into the house if it was on fire to save it and my D-28 as well.

Well, that was my choice, at that moment! [flapper] I said, initially, it was impossible,

and I had to have AT LEAST the 3 I mentioned, previously. But NOOOOOOOOH, he only wants

me to pick ONE!! Pfffft![flapper][biggrin]

I kinda' already did that today, when I received in my EB 2014 Bass. [thumbup] I was able to play one, and it tromped my Fender Jazz. That was enough for me. Then I saw this one on line, and the grain of the body got me.

I presume it can be an acoustic too? I would pick my Dove. I just like the overall sound, low to high, on it. Also, it plays so nice.

If electrics, I've tried, but I just can't seem to warm up to any of the Gibson electrics even though I've tried. My SG is okay, don't like the LP (sorry LP lovers) and I know I haven't tried all the Gibson Electrics. I do Love my Epi Casino Elitist a bunch. Prolly, a hollow body Gibby, but why would I pay $4000 for a copy of an Epiphone Casino. [rolleyes]
