drathbun
More subjectivity. Classical Gas would be on my list. Mason Williams and Eric Clapton have both recorded outstanding acoustic versions. Clapton never recorded Classical Gas. The acoustic only version is Mason Williams playing solo.
L8_4thesh0w
America? Barefoot Jerry? Cat Stevens? Jim Croce? Dan Fogleberg? Loggins and Messina? Jethro Tull? John Prine? "Suite, Judy Blue Eyes" by CSN "Wildfire" by Michael Martin Murphy. "Black Water" by the Doobie Bros. "Salsbury Hill" by Peter Gabriel. Total agreement with "Needle And The Damage Done" but I also like "Old Man". I would have picked "Journey Of The Sorceror" by the Eagles instead of "Hotel California"...oh, wait, that was banjo. Ok, that's enough, I'm starting to get a headache and I can't shake the feeling that I'm leaving someone out!
