iluvcrap2000
So I bought a Ultra III from zzounds and removed the sticker on the pick guard, saw that it was scratched, along with the slight nick on the truss rod cover. So contacted zzounds, they want to switch the guitar out. what should I do?Think it'll be cheaper if they send me another guard/cover but doubt they can get the parts. Should I contact epi or just switch it out?

Aster1
Just contact C/S and have your serial number & receipt ready. They have sent both to me before after a phone call. No need to mess with the whole guitar unless you needed to. Either save them or put them on after Epi sends out. HNGD BTW. Aster
mfowler
Isn't that the purpose of the pick guard?
iluvcrap2000
Isn't that the purpose of the pick guard? Yeah but it is "NEW". And I doubt that they have the replacement parts, and also doubt that the warranty from epi covers it.
Aster1
Well, instead of speculation, give Epi a chance to be hero's!! Like I said, I received a new pickguard (warranty N/C) for my Casino, and a new TRC (warranty N/C for either the Hummingbird or Dove can't remember). Both were NEW guitars just received. I called Customer Service, explained the details and they authorized & shipped out new parts on 2 different occasions. Just remember, nothing ventured, nothing gained. You can only loose out on the time for the phone call. It's toll free number BTW. Aster
