So I bought a Ultra III from zzounds and removed the sticker on the pick guard, saw that it was scratched, along with the slight nick on the truss rod cover. So contacted zzounds, they want to switch the guitar out. what should I do?Think it'll be cheaper if they send me another guard/cover but doubt they can get the parts. Should I contact epi or just switch it out?

those parts will get scuffed up quickly anyhow.....i'd just play it & enjoy it.

the "replacement" may not be as nice as the one you already have..........

Just contact C/S and have your serial number & receipt ready. They have sent both to me before after a phone call. No need to mess with the whole guitar unless you needed to.

Either save them or put them on after Epi sends out.

HNGD BTW.

Well, instead of speculation, give Epi a chance to be hero's!! Like I said, I received a new pickguard (warranty N/C) for my Casino, and a new TRC (warranty N/C for either the Hummingbird or Dove can't remember). Both were NEW guitars just received. I called Customer Service, explained the details and they authorized & shipped out new parts on 2 different occasions.

Just remember, nothing ventured, nothing gained. You can only loose out on the time for the phone call. It's toll free number BTW. [biggrin]
