Les Paul junior question

Recommended Posts

Hi, first post as I'm only just getting my first gibson used.

It's on hold for me at the shop but I have a les Paul junior that seems to be an amalgamation of two models.

It is this guitar in gloss ebony

But has these tuners

Any reason why, or do you think the original owner changed them.

Hi. I've tried uploading pic but file size is too big!

It's a 2012 model. Gloss ebony. The button tuners are marked as Kluson deluxe.

I assume the original owner just changed the stock ones for a more vintage correct look?

Anything is possible. Are you sure that they were changed? Are there extra holes or markings or something?

Yes that's what I mean by normal.

This is mine

Yeah, but the white buttons are the most common on Jrs, they're just not connected. I can't remember the last time I saw them connected except on vintage stuff.

If you look on the the gibson website these model specials have the traditional tulip tuners.

You are right. They may have been changed for a more traditional Junior look. I assume it was used. Easy fix if you want tulip tuners. I prefer the white on Jrs as that's all I've ever seen.
