Buc McMaster
Here's my old 30s Gibson and the brand new (March 2014 build) Kamaka pineapple, featured doing the same tune back-to-back..........it's a uke off! This is a very good representation of the difference in tone between old vintage build ukes and modern builds..........striking to my ears. http://youtu.be/23kTvNrsa2k I have decided to retire the old Poinsettia ukulele. Jake Wildwood did a very nice job with some restoration work, it plays great! But it doesn't sound as good as this 30s Gibson does and, since I have three others to choose from, I've slacked the strings and stowed the old girl away for the future. I'll sell it someday down the road............

Dave F
Great playin'. I think the Gibson had a deeper more mellow sound and liked it better

MorrisrownSal
Hey Buc... The pineapple sounds more mellow... I think I prefer it. The Gibson is brighter, and more similar to my S1 Martin uke. Awesome song, as usual. I may try to learn that one...
