badbluesplayer 646 Report post Posted July 2, 2014 Levism - Good on you. It looks like the Silverbursts are tough to finish properly. I'd keep on returning 'em too! Here's to hoping you get your dream axe!
Enmitygauged 103 Report post Posted July 3, 2014 I have an R6 which i bought new, i didn't notice on the top it has a slight mound about the size of a quarter just an increase in height only minor. but it was very evident. now days I look at it as my individual guitar and adds character. i have had binding issues on a a custom shop before as well. I returned that guitar
LarryUK 343 Report post Posted July 3, 2014 If it's Custom shop and the finish is thicker on a silverburst. Would it not be sense to fit a slighly thicker binding if they know this? No excuse for bad finish. It's in the word. 'custom shop'. Every guitar should be perfect and fault free. If you buy a dining table for this price you won't find a fault.
