qwertypants
Hi I was wondering if someone could let me know if it is okay to use Fingerease on my 335? Will it have any negative effects on the fretboard or neck? Thanks!
badbluesplayer
No problem. Fingerease is just light mineral oil and it's like the stuff they oil the boards with. You might want to just make sure it doesn't start getting gunky stuff built upon the board, though. That might happen if you use it a lot.
badbluesplayer
Oh, wait a minute! I thought Fingerease was the same stuff as Fast Fret, which is definitely mineral oil based. I can't find out for sure. Anything mineral oil based is fine. And I can't imagine Fingerease can be too bad. I tried to find the MSDS sheet for Fingerease, but I couldn't. charlie brown
There as many opinions on this, as there are players! Just go to any guitar forum, and you'll see. Some hate it, some swear by it! http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/FingerEase "Harmless to finish, fretboard, or strings!" Just use common sense, and wipe down your guitar, as you would anyway, before casing it. I've used it, when needed, for decades. Never had a problem with it, yet!
