Thundergod
Is this guy for real? Maybe he's just pulling our collective strings... who knows. i'll play safe and report him...
MReynolds
I would approach this lady and state my problem politely and respectfully. If things were fixed great. If not' date=' I would exact revenge. I've been in similar situations that were a little more like "your just a hired gun your lucky to play with us." Thats when I steal their equipment and disappear. She's stealing from you. How do you think I got a Gibson? I stole tons of equipment over the years and traded it in for something I wanted. I'm 20 though so it might not work in an adult atmosphere.... Swmcv2007...Have you ever heard the old addage "two wrongs don't make a right"? Stealing because you think someone shorted you money won't stand up in a court...and you'll most likely be the one doing time for it. Unless you have a written contract you won't have a leg to stand on...it'll be your word against theirs. The "I stole tons of equipment..." thing is a WHOLE other issue. To me it just sounds like you're a common thief. I hope you get caught, because with that attitude of yours you deserve what's coming to you. My grade for you in Ethics and Human Decency is: Epic Fail

Swmcv2007
You guys should pay less attention to my lack of morals and more helping hbomb76. I am sorry I offended you all. Mind you I DID say do the right thing first and the latter was a joke. While I do enjoy the occasional evil deed the last time I stole anything it was a mic stand and some XLR chords and that was over a year ago. The only musician I've ever taken anything from was a dude who left my band and started getting noticed with a new band playing songs I wrote. The rest was from rusty old high school that got rid of their music program to fund a bottom of the barrel football team. I probably am a ******-bag but at least I don't find the need to erect wall of posts attacking a person who has done nothing to me or anyone else on the forum. Like I said though, I apologize for offending you guys. More Importantly, hbomb76, it sounds like you enjoy playing with these people so I think you should just try to work it out, a good band can always compromise. I accept the apology for your sorry value system in the spirit in which it was offered, which wasn't exactly contrite.
retrosurfer1959
Hbomb76 Good luck or good luck to your friend I guess, It's tough to be put in that situation especially with his woman playing at being the manager sounds like a Yoko Ono. Life's to short if they don't treat you straight let em teach her to play the guitar especially with acoustic skill shows even more than cleavage. Guitar slinger
Hbomb, I won't add anything because I never gigged with money involved (it spells sucker) and as far as i can see, the good fellas already setepped up and made good points. Especially Homz. Really, the guy was nice to say that. And about Swmcv2007, this is not the first thread where this guy talks abut stealing. And he is so god damn "open"about stealing that is kinda hard to believe that he is serious. But my guess is that the guy IS serious and he IS stealing stuff. Lucky me I live far far away from that guy. If you knew what my family has been through, you would know how hard it was to buy each piece of my gear just to see some assh*le (yeah, kick me out of the gibson forum if you want to, but i repeat, if you steal peoples gear, you are an ASSH*LE) stealing it out of the blue. And even if we were talking about a collector or something (let's say, a very rich guy) it would give him no right to steal from that guy. IMHO. Sorry (to everyone else) if I sound harsh.
