62burst
225 Parsons Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan: The exact date is not exactly certain, but many sources say Orville H. Gibson's birthday was the same as that upon which he died, August 21st. Wikipedia article only hints at what was at work in the mind of Orville Gibson. Died in state hospital, buried Malone, NY, some 13 miles from where he was born. Give him a think next time you look at that headstock logo, or just listen to your guitar. Thanks, Orville. RichG
Just finished JT's book "Kalamazoo Gals". I know I'm a little behind, but finally got to it. Interesting stuff about Orvllle in the book. I never knew anything about him. BTW, just in case I'm not the only person here who had not read the book, go get one and read it. Rich

62burst
Nicely done. My sentiments, exactly. Lyrically, did not see where that one was going, a lefty, no doubt. All that mad style, and still couldn't crack a smile (?). Strange days. Thanks for that.
