blindboygrunt Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 2014 J-45 Northern Ooh. that's very close to the stairs ! very dark burst that one ? or just the photo ? nice guitar
zombywoof Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Does my 1942 J-47 1/2 count? The FON places it squarely in the first batch of J-50s sent out of Kalamazoo but it left the factory with a burst to cover up a screw up in the top build. So by date of birth it is a J-50 but by the skin it wears it is a J-45.
AnneS Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 i'll play too Dunno- that looks pretty close to the stove, there...
EuroAussie Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 What about an SJ and some burst cousins ...?
E-minor7 Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 The wannabe Banner ~ In reality a 1953 J-45 that was modified what seems to be many many years ago. A keeper - highly rated here in the temple.

zombywoof Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Z: I vote yes, especially with that cool case ! Yeah, I love the way those brown Lifton cases look but it is not original to the guitar but the type used from around 1947 to 1960. Just had it laying around so threw it into service.
Gearhead88 Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Ooh. that's very close to the stairs ! very dark burst that one ? or just the photo ? nice guitar It was only parked there long enough to get the picture. It's a dark burst finish , Adirondack spruce top , rosewood back / sides . These were a run of 65 units . What sold me was the sound and how it felt.
CAMELEYE Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Thanks to all above for this wonderful homage to a guitar that's been a perennial favorite of mine.
