Californiaman
Have you seen this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmHljOmSw6I
cody78
Very unusual...I think the beginning shots might be from the 1971 film documentary 'Swing In With Neil Young', which if I remember correctly was for German TV. I have only seen snippets of it on YouTube, but as a major Neil Young fan I hope one day it gets fully released as it looks like a fantastic insight to that period of his song writing & life on the ranch. Part of it has a great scene of him playing 'Out On The Weekend' on his 6 string guit-jo which is great to see
Californiaman
I'm a big Young fan and have seen him a couple times in concert. Love his stuff with Crazy Horse. I didn't even know about this 2012 release. Glad I found it too.
EVOL!
If you are a Neil Young and Crazy Horse fan and do not have Psychedelic Pill, you have a problem. Go down to your nearest record store and buy it without delay. It's a killer album. My favorite is Ramada Inn. Those mellow jams where the guitars sound like they are on the verge of exploding; it is nirvana. Make sure you devote some time to listening to the album on head phones. The production is stellar and on par with Le Noise.
cody78
Ramada Inn sure is a great tune...I love Walk Like A Giant and She's Always Dancing as well, which has a vibe back to the 70's. I totally agree the production is fantastic. I think this was the best Crazy Horse album since Broken Arrow and the best tunes since Slip Away and Big Time. Greendale was ok, but kind of passed me by, but I did enjoy Americana. My all time favourite Crazy Horse album remains Zuma. Btw, you guys have probably both seen it, but if you haven't the Year Of The Horse film is brilliant too Also, you should check out his unreleased songs...Give Me Strength, Interstate and many more on YouTube and all the Homegrown material...and there is an amazing version of Trans' Sample and Hold from the MTV Unplugged sessions too that never made it to that album, along with Winterlong and a couple of others. Ps, Californiaman, where did you see Neil? I still haven't seen him live sadly.
