AJ Ray Posted September 17, 2014 Share Posted September 17, 2014 I have looking at a Gibson advanced Jumbo custom shop which I am told is a 2010 model. I have only seen pictures so far and it looks authentic (I owned an AJ before) The question is though why is there no serial number stamped on the back of the headstock? Any ideas? L5Larry Posted September 17, 2014 Share Posted September 17, 2014 IF.... it is a "Historic Series" model, or a specific "reissue", the guitar will carry the traits of the model/year being recreated, and therefore MAY have this information only on the label inside the guitar. I would try to get more information on just exactly what model/issue the seller claims it to be. Just "custom shop" is a pretty broad category, especially with Gibson.
