Nice set up

Thanks!...lol!

It was the end-result of a chat over a few beers with another forumite.

We discussed snapping a couple of our guits and doing a mock-up double page spread in the manner of Yas Iwanade's 'The Beauty of the 'Burst'.

Unfortunately I didn't have a mottled grey backdrop as used for the originals but other than that I think it came out rather well and close to the style of the images in the book.

The final images were 450dpi @ A3 and my friend had hi-gloss prints made from the files - one of which (featuring my guitar) he kindly gave to me.

Good fun all-round.

P.

Those are nice raine ... I dig the widowburst and darkfire looks

Same here. [thumbup] What awesome variations they created out of just a single basic model design! [love]

Very beautiful trio, mate! [love] You pictured them in a nicely matching environment, in their ancestral hunting ground so to say. [biggrin][thumbup]

I removed robo tuner installed grovers changed speed knobs to amber tophats and installed orange drops. The fretboard was light so I rubbed it with dye oil mix.

Then there are strap locks, too. I guess you didn't mention since you are considering them as a matter of course. [biggrin]

You will notice the Les Paul waterslide decal has a flaw in the loop I dont even care. First thing I do is drop kick it then slap it around until it starts moaning and crying and screaming and wailing. When Im done its going to wear its hair the way I say and call me pimp daddy. ;)

To my senses you are a quite brute mofo. :o [-X Don't you think this kind of treatment is too much of caring for the flaw in the loop? :-k

;)

Nice guitar, nicely done mods, by the way. [biggrin][thumbup]

Nice G-T and Nice Ebony, gentlemen!

Oddly enough one of mine has a flaw in the loop of the last 'L' in Les Paul where the top half of the letter is missing.

I thought I had a better snap of the peg-head but I dont so for those eagle-eyed amongst us you can just about see it here on the LP at the left of the pic;

Clearly viewable. However, I don't think the subtle lack of mass will affect her tone. ;)

Not to worry, Cap. He's talking about my breast implants; not my Lester.

The weird thing is I thought I was 'Member' most recently but when I looked in today I was 'Newbie'. Perhaps my friend Duane is trying to tell me something...lol!

Chairman Mao never dealt with environmental thinking, so your guitar HAS to be legit and made of the best timbers. [biggrin]

Didn't even know about your breast implants up to now, let alone they are fakes. ;)
