Size comparison in Les Pauls

I have recently bought my son an Epi Les Paul Custom. He needs a case. There is a guy who has a used case for sale and he said he had the Les Paul studio guitar in it. I think they are the same size but not sure. Anyone know for sure. I just don't want to haul that new guitar around in the back seat of the car if I don't have to.

The dimensions are essentially the same as far as body shape, bout width and scale length, although I believe the Custom is slightly deeper than the Studio. The case should work just fine though.

I have Standards, Customs & several Juniors (no Studios though). ALL of the cases have been interchangable (the guitars ALL fit in ANY of the LP cases) if that's any help...

I picked up a case today. It is a used like almost brand new "Gator Case" made for the Les Paul. When I picked it up it sure looked awful small to me. When I got home with it the guitar fit in it like a glove. Looks are so deceiving....Thanks for the reply's. They helped me a great deal not having to lug the guitar around the back seat wondering if it would fit.
