crust
Ice Tea 335 looks nice. Thanks Jeffery. Did you listen to my attempt at "jazz" on that soundcloud thing ? If it works, please do comment. I really like all these Epiphones I've been able to recently procure with some of my retirement savings. Man, I am so happy I didn't smoke cig's and saved a bit, but my 30 year saving "guitar fund", although not close to being depleted, sure is a lot less heavier lately... lol. Everyone says "don't buy Epiphone's, they don't hold their value"...to that I say bull.s h i t. The recent Epiphones being produced are just plainly stated, great instruments (again, just this 1 man's humble opinion) and are fun as heck to play (for me). They are set up great, nut is cut to proper depth, intonated properly (all they needed was a tune up, straight out of the box). Just delightful There are a few things in this life that make me happy. Sex...well, not too many drugs...lol...rock'n blues...AND... Epiphone guitars...

crust
So, my quest for all 5 color's of the Epiphone Riviera P93 special limited edition electric guitar is finally over. The white one was the last one I was waiting for, had to be shipped from Texas to Massachusetts..all is well. The white one has a bit of fret wear, but no buzzing and it has zero scratches...just a very nice, slightly used guitar. Now it's time to play. My 2 sons and both of their ladies play a bit...we may throw a hootenanny in a bit...lol

I agree that Epiphone makes great guitars and the SE Riviera P93 series is one of the best! I have other, more expensive guitars, but I prefer to play my Epi's! Congrats on completing your quest! crust
Wow, Crust , you really are a P-93 Riviera lovin' dude! Excellent! Congratulations, on your latest! CB Hey CB, do you know anyone that might own and play several Fender Stratocasters, possibly in different colors ?, Man, Fender makes so many of those things, hundreds, if not thousands of different kinds. Imagine how many you'ld have if you had every color and finish scheme Fender has ever produced...how many guitars do you think that would be ??? lol. The 5 P93's are "manageable"...lol...dig it ?...lol

crust
So many guitars you say...well, the few millionaires I've known have told me "money is only paper" and I've heard it said "guitars are only wood and steel", so, I'm happy collecting and playing the fine Gibson and Epiphone guitars I worked hard to afford. Thanks Epiphone for making such fine, affordable instruments...more, more, more....

Thomse
Still waiting for the white Riviera. Well, again, to placate the wait, this arrived today. Sounds and plays great. I already broke the high E (and replaced with Ernie Ball super slinky). Hopefully that will last longer than the original string(s) that Epiphone uses. Epiphone, we know you like to keep your instruments "priced right", but it would be to your (and everyone else's) advantage to use better strings on your guitars. Just this one persons opinion (although I do not believe I am alone in this opinion) Hay Crust how do you like your explorer is the stain even on the guitar i got one when they first came out .I have one it took me 3 of them to get a nice one and when it came it was real nice . crust
Hay Crust how do you like your explorer is the stain even on the guitar i got one when they first came out .I have one it took me 3 of them to get a nice one and when it came it was real nice . I'm really enjoying playing this one...I never had an "unusual" guitar like this...Both of my kids (well, is 31 and 28 y/o a kid any more ?...lol) really like this one also. My oldest son came over from his place and we jammed a bit yesterday...he had a big smile. I think I'll use this one with the effects pedals...a bit more than the semi and hollow electrics. I dig effects and have a bunch of pedals and multi pedals because I dig making odd noise with my guitars (hey..that's what effects pedals are for...right...lolol) The solid body guitars don't feedback as much with a "chain" of effects all going off at once... So, this will be my "experimentation" guitar. I have several pedals of different functionality on order, as well as a great big pile of ones I've used since I got an electric guitar...in 1966...lol The finish is what it is, no rough or uneven/"bad" spots, but some light streaks, certainly not a "solid" color...and the wood grain shows through a bit, nice touch...look at the pictures. I think it looks OK, some "shadowing" in the silver stain, not all that bad actually, not at all. I guess I'm not that picky...lol..well, I didn't return it....lol ...and I think it looks cool as all "get out" with the corner/ edge and neck binding around the frets and was surprised how comfortable it is to play, both sitting and standing (with a nice wide strap) very nice indeed. My kids say they are going to go "all metal" with this one...fun as heck to play...they all are but there is something about this particular style that is different than my others...the "cool factor" is definitely there, and the instrument itself is just fine...another great Epiphone electric guitar...I mean...just look at the thing....lol
