Reissue of 1964 ES 345 Maestro

With all the opinions of the new 2015 LP's & SG's on the forum, I thought it would make a change to have a look at a great new 2014 model I came across the other day which is cheaper than the new LP Premium Standard and way cooler too!

 

A fantastic looking 345, like the reissue earlier in the year, but with a Maestro!!

There are a lot of great Gibsons that have been released recently... but most of them are out of my price range—if not waaaaaay out of my price range. So I never really pay too much attention to them, etc.

 

There's also a great ES-390 with P-90s out there. I drool when I see that one.

That is a nice one ...I've yet to try a 390.

That 345 is a beaut, too.

 

The guy pictured below played one, for a very brief time, during his career. No Maestro on his, however....

No nibs even on this one, it looks like. It's funny how such a small detail stands out when you're so used to seeing it on everything.

That's interesting - my ES345 1959 Reissue does have nibs. I would have been very displeased if it hadn't.

Good points above...I wonder why it has no nibs? I don't really mind if a guitar doesn't have them, but I'd probably lean slightly more towards having them than not.
