Grayzgrey Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Thinking about having my Classic suited up with 50's wiring 500k pots & Bumblebee Caps / (or similar)...has anyone had this done....any suggestions would be most appreciated! It's not that i don't already love her tone but anything i could do to improve it would be stellar! I have found that the boost option does not suite me. I tried it but i tend to prefer my pedals and rolling on the volume. Also the coil taps are useless to me...just kills the tone in my opinion...rhythm & Lead Thanks!!!
capmaster Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Well, Donny aka DRay is an expert in retrofitting 2014 LP Classics. He started several comprehensive topics on modding Classics and Signature Ts you may browse the LP subforum for. Here's one of them: http://forum.gibson.com/index.php?/topic/111008-the-2014-les-paul-classic-but-is-it/
capmaster Posted October 6, 2014 Posted October 6, 2014 Thanks Cap! You're welcome, mate. I hope the quotes saying SHREK did not confuse you. It has been Donny's forum nickname then. I found out when re-reading the related topic. Nicknames remain unaltered in quotes.
