slk
Ok I may have a dumb question here. Do you string an electric guitar differently than and acoustical. Reason for asking on my Martins they recommend a certain way, but when I see electrics they seam to be threaded differently on the tunners. Also do you think 13's in flatwound are ok for an Epiphone Les Paul????? Steve
Kurt Vonnegut Fan
There is no fundamental difference in stringing an electric guitar. Although 13s flats may be "unusual" on a LP, they'll be fine.

Perhaps not so unusual in the early LP days. No problems with .013 flats when set up correctly. Take care for the headstock, the string tension is about 170% compared to .010s. Falling or heavily bumping might be more dangerous for snapping off the peghead.
