houndman55 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Hey, Why the heck doesn't Martin use truss rods? I mean Gibson does, Fender does etc. etc. Heck, even their 12 string models don't have a truss rod.
jedzep Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 They're in there...you just can't get at them to adjust.
E-minor7 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 You can adjust - it's just in the other end ;-)
MorrisrownSal Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 In the sound hole. You need a hex key... Martin makes a long one that you will need for modern Martins.
DenverSteve Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 Martin does use truss rods. Why would you think they don't? They used truss rods (reinforcing rods) for years then in 1985 they started using adjustable truss rods.
