Help in identifying case

Does anyone know what instrument fits in this case? It is a Lifton and the interior dimensions (inside of the lining, where the guitar would fit) are:

Length 42 7/8 inches

Lower Bout across 13 5/8 inches

Upper Bout across 11 3/8 inches

Head across 6 7/8 inches

Distance from bottom to case compartment 19 1/2 inches

Distance from top to case compartment 13 3/4 inches

I tried a Gibson EB-0 in it and it fits pretty well, though it's a little long. If anyone knows if Gibson made a long and short scale of this bass back in the late 60's or 70's and how much difference in length there was between the two, that may solve this "case."
