Election Day

Californiaman

I voted yesterday, but this being Florida, I'm sure they screwed it up somehow.

[lol] Yeah, we seem to have a knack for that. Mine went smoothly, however. Parking lot was packed - but it was still lickety split. No complaints.

Been hittin' the corn squeezin's agin Jethro? What does this even mean? Translation please. Never mind, don't really care.. your ballot was probably invalidated because you drooled all over it. And that cracker comment, put it where the sun don't shine, 'tard.

Let me translate....

cracker....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Florida_cracker the term has many meanings through history.

BTW....I prefer sour mash whiskey.....and yes I was hitting it...... (in pre-celebration of the shelaccing that was bestowed on the Democrat/socialist agenda)...... in mandate.... by the American people!

.....and In reply to your description of YOUR state of Florida being...."Redneck & backwater" .Why bother trying to change it to suit your needs. Just move to an area that has "like-minded' people with values similar to yours.ie: (carry your a$$) .

I'll play! I'll be corn-squeezing swillin' Jethro and you be redneck hatin' Metro Boy. Cool?

Reading this thread, I can't for the life of me imagine why Gibson decided to ban politics. [lol]

LOL, yeah.

That said, I've been watching both sides today on TV talking about "working together" to get things done. I'm guessing by let's say, oh, tomorrow, that it'll be back to F You business as usual?

You are correct Sir! TV/Media has a LOT to do with shaping viewers'/citizens opinions and mindsets....Its like Brave New World.

There is no "working together".... yet.....both Parties ARE working together with the illusion of "one good....one bad"......That's the way I see it. Two Party 'system'.....this is where we are at. Piss poor economy.....weak American presence in the world. The whole world surpassing us in excellance... all this from progressive liberalism policy. Just SAY NO!

U.S. Economy Up 3.5% in 3rd Quarter, Capping Best 6 Months in Over a Decade

Congratulations Republicans. The good news is that you successfully ran your midterm elections against Obama, and won. And you also successfully ran political ads to instill enough fear of ISIL and Ebola in your geriatric base to march their cranky, wrinkled asses to a voting booth. The bad news is that Obama is still the president. And now the responsibility of containing ISIL and Ebola now falls on YOU. And we haven't even started discussing immigration reform yet.

So, while you're saddled with the burden of now having to actually work, I'm looking forward to two years of shoving a microscope up your *** while smoking legalized marijuana. (Well played Oregon.)

But, first things first, time for a raise for Congress as usual. [thumbdn]

What I find very dis heartening is the list of voter participation by county (in CA anyway) in the LA Times. It was an average of something like 33%. 33% [confused] Where the hell were the rest of you slugs? [cursing] It only takes a few minutes of your time to get educated on the issues/candidates and then voice your opinion!! Stepping off of soapbox now. [biggrin]

PM me with your needs… Sean Chambers opens at 8. Robin at 9pm for 90 min. Outdoor gig, Oh, and full bar…

I also have The English Beat on Sun. Dave Wakeling is the hardest working man in showbiz, still. Might not be your cup of tea, though. Lemme know.

Haven't seen him since 2011. He'll deliver. He wouldn't be out there, otherwise. Very humble man that plays the **** out of his guitar. Can't wait. First time ever seeing him in a trio format. The basics…

I got an Expanded Edition CD manufactured for BMG Direct of Bridge Of Sighs and it includes live recordings made at The Record Plant L.A. in 1974 as a trio.

Has bonus tracks of Day of The Eagle, Bridge Of Sighs, Too Rolling Stoned, Lady Love & Little Bit Of Sympathy. It's great!

Don't know anything about the club but it sounds like a fairly intimate venue on the CD.
