L5Larry
You should read the book about the "Wrecking Crew". Incredible insight on the LA R&R studio musicians of the 60's, many of which went on to become megastars in their own right. http://www.wreckingcrewfilm.com/

When I played keys on a whirlwind tour with one-hit-wonder Bobby 'Boris' Pickett back in the early 70s, Bobby told me it was Leon who played keys on the original Monster Mash. Damn, gotta get to it especially with Glen Campbell in the state he's in.
L5Larry
Wait 'till you read the Glen Campbell story about the recording of Frank Sinatra's "Strangers In The Night". You're going to fall out of your chair.
