swampash 19
I picked up a Johnny Marr jaguar last week so I traded my CIJ Jaguar for this on Saturday, a 2009 Fender Baja Tele. Mexican made but with a difference. It's got a Fender Custom Shop Broadcaster pickup in the bridge and a Custom Shop Twisted Tele pickup in the neck. It's also got four way switching instead of three, and like my Marr Jaguar, joins the two pickups together into a big humbucker in the 4th position. It's previous owner did a number of additional upgrades with the wiring and pots, jack plug as well as GOTOH locking tuners, a Joe Barden bridge and Schaller strap locks. It's five years old but looks brand new and comes in a lovely blonde finish. The neck is like a baseball bat with a soft V shape which I love as I've got big hands. Pin 86
Those Baja's seem good value to me and to pick up an extensively uprated one at a good price even more so. One day I will buy a Telecaster (maple neck) and quite likely to be a Baja.

Bence The previous owner swapped it out for a unit with better pots and switch. He gave me the original one that still has the S1 switch on the volume knob.

However, the OOP sound is not everyone's cup of tea, but if You like to play slow, soulful blues, it's a brilliant feature for immitating human speech. Kind of a more convenient alternative to talkbox. Cheers... Bence
