glp2012
I went to the Guitar Center VIP preview last night. Really, it was a bust. I've been in prior years and the sales were clearly marked with large orangish signs and there were some pretty good deals. This year, there were only a few signs, many items were mis-marked, and the sales people I spoke with had no idea what was on sale. It was like they forgot to set things up. I walked out without buying anything. If this is any indication of Black Friday, I'm staying home.
skilsaw
It is strange that all the distributors didn't sharpen their pencils and put some serious thought into it. Maybe they were thinking the economy is strong and buyers are anxious to spend their money. They will be glad to pay full price. I'm not doubting you. I've been to big promotions at local retailers where it seemed like all the effort was put into the advertising and very little thought was put into the event itself.
