IanHenry
I've been watching a series of T.V programs on the BBC called "The Mekong River with Sue Perkins". What an absolutely wonderful series depicting the lives of everyday people living on the river, but one thing struck me about those people, despite those country's being blighted by the Vietnam war, the Khmer Rouge, all their fish stocks being depleted because the Government's sold off all the rights to commercial fishing companies and the building of a hydro electric dam which will change the river and it's estuary for ever all those people are happy and smiling all the time! Really, those people have nothing, their livelihoods are under constant threat yet they continually adapt. You should watch it if you can: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04plh4f Ian
