black or white?

I know. This is a pretty petty thing to worry about. But when I first posted this Kokcaster guitar more than a year ago, Pippy suggested that it might look good with a creme pickup ring. Well I just got around to trying it. [blush]

What do you guys like?

No point in rushing headlong into these things, saturn....[smile]...glad you got around to trying it out.

I doubt that I need to say which one I find more appealing.

I agree, maybe a chrome cover would do the trick...

Funny that you should mention that, Dave (and Larry, too - sort-of).

Out of interest I searched for the original post and here is what I said back then;

...if it were mine I'd probably consider swapping the 'bucker's surround for a white one and popping a chrome cover on the top...

I still think it's a lovely looking guitar either way.

I think the creme for the fact it makes the pup look smaller, which for some reason makes the proportions seem better.

However, I would be considering white instead of creme, because that is the basic color of the other "plastic". Doubtful you would be able to find a MOP pup ring. But, if you could....

I once had an Ibanez with that same color of pick gaurd, the white mother of toilet seat, and it had white humbuckers. It looked real good that way.

Bummer about that is, white pups are more rare. More limiting as to what a guy could put in if that is the chosen color.
