IanHenry
I just thought it was time we had some good blues guitar playing! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5bvx9tNrpSo His Les Paul is a little "used", you can buy it if you want it! milod
Funny... I was thinking when I saw the name instantly about the Backstroke Blues Band - Swiss... The girl singer is Valérie "Snow White" Biselx. Does a pretty decent job of handling the English lyrics, although I get a kick outa how she pronounces some of the names of U.S. towns in "Route 66." BTW, note the big F-hole Epi guitar used for lead. Pretty decent stuff; I like it played kinda simple like this, myself.

charlie brown
Went to see these folks, last evening I Wichita, Kansas (Cotillion Ballroom), they put on a FUN show. Danielle (Bass/lead voals) and Nick (Guitar) are siblings. They were, until recently a trio including another brother on drums! But...last night was their final concert in Wichita, and as soon as they finish their Road-Tour commitments, they'll all go their separate ways, and into new musical projects, and or directions! I'll miss them, as "TUF" (Trampled Under Foot)! They're all from the Kansas City area. CB
mojoworking
Snowy has such a great touch. He's been around for decades as a sideman for some big names and even scored a couple of hits under his own name. If you can find it, I really recommend his CD Goldtop. It contains many of his famous sessions with Pink Floyd, Peter Green etc plus some great blues tracks with his own band as well.
kelly campbell
Love Snowy..One of my personal favorites, I was fortunate enough to meet Roger Waters and the band that toured with them(The Wall) and Snowy was one of them I made it a point to let him know how much I enjoyed his solo works as well as the Bands he has played with. Snow was very friendly and down to earth, genuinely a nice man..boy can play as well LOL Thanks for posting the video
Jimi Mac
I think that Les Paul became his retirement... I've been a little sad about it, but I suspect it's not like he's giving up all his guitars or anything... I bet he sounds pretty much like Snowy White on any Les Paul! I've been a big fan of Snowy's for a long time! He is singularly unique and is tight with numerous folks including Bernie Marsden, Peter Green, and many others... He has a very unique finger-picking style and is just as at-home tearin' it up with a plectrum too... He played on Peter Green's original "Slabo Day" which I believe was on Peter's "In The Skies" album... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVCOU1Ql9sU Several of his bands have been excepional! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqjqYH-h-z8 Great subject! Mr. Natural
...BTW, note the big F-hole Epi guitar used for lead.... milod, I think that is an Epi Joe Pass Emperor II. I've got a lefty. I think it's a pretty good guitar for the price.
milod
Pretty much what I figured too... I'll say that IMHO it worked quite nicely for blues at the sound levels it appears were the case in that venue - although I think the guitar player tends to use a Strat more. I can't even recall now how I heard of the Backstroke band - but I found their material pretty pleasing as well as interesting in terms of "feel" when English and American culture isn't next door to them. OTOH, in Memphis in the first half of the '80s, it was difficult to find any "blues" performances at all, regardless of style. Talk about disappointment. They had the old timers... but not much guitaring as "we here" tend to think of blues. m
