mg248
I got a Wildkat a little while ago and I find the Bigsby feels pretty cheap compared to the one on my Reverend Manta Ray (both are B70)... If I buy the Korean made B70 for about $90-$100, will I get the same quality as the one on my Reverend guitar? Who else has replaced an Epiphone stock Bigsby and for what model, what where your results?

mg248
is the one on your Reverend a "licensed" Bigsby? Sorry, I can't find that information anywhere. Also, the model with Bigsby does not appear on the Reverend website anymore... I would have to call them tomorrow and see what they say.

Dennis G
My Wildkat is a 2011, and the Bigsby on it doesn't say "licensed" but has the R trademark on it.
LPS1976
this explains it a lot better than my previous comment: http://www.gretsch-talk.com/forum/electromatic-gretsch-forum/74437-bigsby-versus-licensed-bigsby.html
Parabar
I have several guitars with Bigsby-type tailpieces --- "official" Bigsby, licensed Bigsby, Epiphone-branded "Vibratone" and no-name versions. I do not notice any appreciable difference in performance between any of them.

I do not notice any appreciable difference in performance between any of them. Me too. After reading the thread provided in the above link, I looked at all my guitars that have "Bigsby's". The aforementioned 'Kat, an Elitist Casino (with a Bigsby added - see avatar), a Dot with an added Bigsby and a Gretsch 5122 factory equipped "licensed" Bigsby. Other than the obvious tonal differences in the guitars, I don't notice any difference due to the Bigsby's. BTW, I got the Bigsby for my Casino on Amazon. It was something like $30 cheaper than I saw anywhere else if you're looking to buy one.
