MarkJB
Am about to replace the nut on my Casino with a Tusq one... I know to cut round the laquer with a scalpel, but are there any other dos and donts I need to be aware of oh wise and experienced ones?
macoshark
I don't have any experience replacing the nut. I haven't looked here concerning that but did see a nice sticky on the MY Les Paul forum under "other epiphones" by Brians Evil Twin. It's included in his Fretboard set-up. brad1
I usually leave strings on the guitar when I install a new nut. I loosen them and put them on each side of the fretboard. Then after putting on the nut I put the strings back on. This way the strings anchor the nut down insuring a tight fit. :)
