ironwood
Hi all, I just got this nice little mandolin. Can't find any definitive information on where and when it was made. The headstock has "Epiphone by Gibson" beautifully inlaid in abalone. The workmanship is very nice. There are no labels or other markings on the instrument. Here are some pictures. Thanks for any information that you might have... I will also post on the Epiphone forum.
zombywoof
Don't know much about them. Only that they were made in Korea by Samick. I want to say that logo only appeared for maybe two or three years towards the end of the 1980s, maybe 1986 to 1989. Samick was already one of the contractors making Epihones starting in the early 1980s. .
Craig910
My Epiphone by Gibson mando is a model MM-30, but it has slightly different features. I'd guess yours is an MM-something...?
