Please help in identifying my Custom Shop Les Paul

Recommended Posts

Please assist me in identifying my Les Paul. The serial number is 2 0004. It is a Custom Shop with a birds eye maple top. Below is the link to pictures:

I've removed the both pickups and there is nothing written on the inside cavities. The pickups both say 'Patent Applied For'

I am the original owner of the guitar. I purchased it from Cintioli's in Philadelphia, PA but the owner might have gotten it from a NJ rep?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hello and welcome to the Forums.

My guess is: 1959 Reissue. The hardware makes me think that: ABR-1 bridge, tall pickup surrounds, the headstock shape. However the electronics (ceramic caps) contradict that.

Might it be just a Custom Shop Les Paul Standard Birdseye?

Cheers... Bence
