cjsinla
I just played with one of these guitars at a recording studio. It was a 79' Gibson Les Paul The Paul How rare it is? It was Gibson's budget line, an entry level guitar at the time. They do not seem to cost much but they came with T-Top pickups I think and the pups alone might justify owning one. Not sure how many they made or how rare they are.

retrorod
A buddy has a '79 ... His first real Gibson electric. He would not part with it for that reason. Entry-level LP. Not a great year. Rare, only, that they were made only in a 2-3 year span. No big money in the 'collectible' market. Great playing/sounding and unique Gibsons nonetheless!
