IanHenry
One of my other passions is Cars, particularly old and classic cars. For anyone interested here's a video of, what I think is a beautiful newer car. I do find new most cars quite soulless and boring, but this is different, with a rear end that reminds me of the 1930's streamlined Bugatti's, and has a very Art Décor look to it. Nothing what so ever to do with guitars, but the exhaust sounds musical to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkgmXBDDNjQ Ian

Mr. C.O. Jones
Oh the first one was a video to. LOL Cool videos, very interesting. Smartphones are useless outdoors when the sun is shining. And of course those are exelent examples of real cars. I meant some the designs lately used have a light japanese touch wich makes them look like plastic toy cars to me. I love the lines that classic cars have, and of course I realy dig american muscle cars. Would love to have a hotrod someday. But I don't think they let you drive them here in spain. I wonder how expensive they are these days, and how hard it would be to convert one to LHD? Cheers... Bence
L8_4thesh0w
That's too cool... a US Ford muscle car "down under" and an Australian Ford muscle car in the US! And Ian, that is a very beautiful automobile you posted, like a Bugatti Jaguar hybrid or some such! Here is one I've been enamored with for quite some time now. IanHenry
Sold, do they deliver to Spain? Yes, here you are, Spain's only Morgan dealer: http://www.morgan-motor.co.uk/dealer/tayre-sl That models gone now (there were a 100), but they do make a different version. Don't forget, you'll have to wait for it to be built for you. By the way, the Chap in the video, Charles Morgan was acrimoniously sacked from his own family company and they took his car back. btoth76
Hello Ian. Indeed it`s a very nice car. Recaptures the spirit of the best era of British automotive industry, when cars where far more than simple means of transportation. They were mobile sculptures! Twenty-some years ago, if a Jaguar appeared on public roads, it stood out of the crowd. Now, You can`t tell it apart from a Kia... Where those brilliant automobiles have gone... Bristol Blenheim, Jensen Interceptor? Now, all the cars look like soapboxes. And the Germans went downhill too. Remember how the 70s Mercedeses, BMWs looked like? Best wishes... Mr. C.O. Jones
Ey bence, that was exactly what I meant. And the german cars are great examples of it, once I liked their designs a lot.

Bence Bence, I don't think there are many British car makers left, with the exception of Morgan they are all foreign owned (there may be some other small scale manufacturers that I can't remember), even Mini's, Rolls Royce and Bentley are owned by BMW and VW respectively. There are quite a lot of racing cars built in the U.K, but I don't think we can count those. That's not to say there isn't a great deal of car manufacture in the U.K by Ford, Vauxhall (GM), Nissan & Jaguar, but they all just produce Euro box's and Japanese cars, quite boring really. Ian Yes, unfortunately... JLR went to Tata Motors of India. Volvo is in hands of Chinese... Common platforms are used, so not much room left for creativity. Best wishes... pippy
My Word. It doesn't look very happy, does it? No offence to anyone, of course, but I couldn't begin to imagine driving such a belligerent, antagonistic looking car on the public highway. It'd be an embarrassment. Perhaps on a racetrack that intimidating aspect might work but driving around town? Too aggressive for words me. In complete contrast I'd very much like one of these. A Heb'; But as they are the VW equivalent of a '59 'burst I'm not holding my breath. Or one of these. My Absolute All-time Favourite Car of All-time Ever in the History of the Universe. Dino 246 GT; Rust aside it is (to me, again) the Personification of Automotive Perfection. I cold rhapsodise all day about these. Even 'though I'm more of a Porsche guy... P. EDIT : Here's a snap of my first car which I still miss. Had it for 10 years. Ignore the rusted door bottoms and notice, instead, the semaphore indicators just about visible aft of the door window in the 'B' pillar! Bought as an empty rolling shell and built-up from spare bits over the course of a year. Original engine which put out a whopping 30HP. Be afraid. Be VERY afraid. It was on cross-plies, after-all... 'Thumper'. 1959 (that year again!) rag-top.

With respect P....it's an American car: where big-bore V8s still rule...5.8 litre, just ridiculous power...they've always been completely OTT. But this is more 'belligerent' IMO -

But this is more 'belligerent' IMO - You see, jdgm, to me that's more stealth than an outright statement of hostilities...McLaren badges notwitstanding! Perhaps if Ron D. had specified gun-metal grey badging it would have looked meaner? Nice car, though. Wouldn't like to leave it in the car park at Sainsbury's but nice car nonetheless. I'd still prefer the 246 though. If the Dino has perfect proportions; perfect handling and a perfect profile IMO the McLaren is just too big in every way. In comparison to the Pesto-Pasta of the Dino the McLaren is (apologies to McDonalds) just a Big Mac.... Contrived? Nay! Not So ! ! ! ! P.
