What about my Les Paul Studio Faded

Zamak contains around 3% of copper, I guess it's enough to color it. If You want brass saddles, do as I did and replace the entire bridge unit with FABER ABRN-1 unit with iNsert studs. It's a huge improvement in articulation and sustain.

Come pick me up and bring the beer, lets check out the alloy content.

I have seen very good woodwork out of Poland also and Germany. Any electrics?

German instruments are very well-known by Höfner, and Framus brand.

I don't know any Polish brands, to be honest.

Nothing from Japan? They make some decent electrics there. Lots of electrics from China and Indonesia now, here too.

indonesian's for russian customers is not good but better "from china".

From japan is real but less deliveries for us, may be second hand.

3% сплавов семейства ZAMAK, это медь.

Это достаточно для того, чтобы окрасить металл на красный цвет.

Я использую это:

Гораздо лучше.

Nickel plating won't stick to the saddles so the copper plate them first, then the nickel on top of that. Nearly all nickel (and chrome) plating has a layer of copper first, for this reason. Same goes for pickup covers.

I think so too, the Japanese models are getting somewhat higher here. I always liked the Yamaha SA 2200.

Good point!

I wonder whether copper-plating is still necessary when the alloy to be nickeled, contains copper already.

It might be a stupid question, I admit, but I am not familiar with galvanisation.

Sorry,

For those not speaking Russian, we are discussing different bridge solutions for Gibsons.

Anyone here knows where to purchase replacement brass saddles for Nashville units? Ones that fit correctly? A reliable eBay store maybe?

Thank You in advance!

Best wishes... Bence

I apologize!

On the other hand, years ago I`ve sent an e-mail to Gibson asking for a separate "Gibson - Hungary" section...never mind. Now I see that not many Huns arounds, so it's pointless.

But more and more Russian friends of guitars we have on board...

It would be nice to have a separate section for them too. So we can avoid disturbing issues when the OP is being challenged to express Him/Herself in English with full confidence, and we need to continue on His/Her native language.

Thank You for listening...

Best wishes... Bence
