goodlife
Hello all, First off I'm new here and this is my first post. I've just recently purchased a new Epiphone ES-339 Pro guitar. My question / concern is when the p/u selector is in the middle position. The rhythm controls seem to me non-functional. My understanding is that in the middle position both pups should be functional. Can anyone straighten me out on this or tell me I have a defective guitar? Thanks in advance I do appreciate any help offered and if this has already been covered please accept my apology for being repetitive. - goodlife

And a few more. But it's understandable. I am guessing you have the treble pup knob turned all the way down. When the toggle is in the middle position, you must have both volumes turned up slightly. Turning one all the way down will shut them both down. See if that's the case. If not, get back and we shall try something else.

goodlife
Hello brad1, Well you called it. I experimented and like you said if one volume is all the way off in the middle position both pups get shut down. I'm so happy that I understand how my guitar works now. The workmanship on this guitar is really topnotch. It's flawless out of the box and it sounds awesome. So many different tones to use. So happy I purchased this. I never thought I'd own an Epiphone but am very pleasantly surprised at what a great guitar this is. Thank you for welcoming me and helping me figure out my guitar. - goodlife
brad1
No problem. If I hadn't done it, somebody else around here would have come along soon after to help ya. That's the kind of place this is. I have a Dot, and a Wildkat and like them both a lot. An ES 339 might just be on the horizon for me as well. Got any pics? Around here we love to see other members newest acquisitions!
