WesternPicker
My friend bought what she thinks is a '57 J45. She would like help confirming its actual identity. The label has peeled off but the number on the headstock is "00170594." Thanks in advance for the help!
WesternPicker
Could it be one of the late 60s, early 70s square shouldered J45s like this one
Jayyj
Yeah, definitely not a '57. The square shouldered body shape debuted on J45s and J50s at the very end of the 60s. It looks in the photo like the trussrod cover is the three screw version rather than the standard two screw style - this was only briefly used, I think between '73 and '74. The sunburst looks right for than era as well.
