That is an early 30s 12 fret L0, L00, a Black and white. The finish is probably original, can't tell from the pics what this fellow is talking about with the yellow substance. Could be a good buy with these issues. These early 12 fret guitars typically play very well and sound great.

Looks like he painted it with a pinetree limb..=P~

 

Yeah' date=' everyone knows the right tool for the job is a 4" barn brush. Maybe it's the lighting or a poor wipe-down job, but there appears to be brush marks below the guard.

On the close-up of the guard and pins on the treble side their is some yellow staining on the white guard.
